Minimally Invasive Dentistry

I want to talk about minimally invasive dentistry. .Today I will address the concept behind it and how it applies to specific dental procedures. Minimally Invasive Dentistry is the idea that the least amount of cutting, drilling, or any other irreversible procedure should be kept to a minimum while still providing the best quality care. The concept for minimally invasive came about when innovative forward thinking dentists realized that with modern techniques and materials it is possible to provide better quality dentistry while doing the least harm o living tissue.

Many of you might have had a surgical procedure such as joint repair or gall bladder removal where a laparoscope was used. Instead of a large incision and a lot of stitches, a few tiny incisions are made thru which the scope is placed.

You then only have small incisions and a few stitches, and recovery time is easier, faster, and less painful. This is minimally invasive thinking and the same applies to dentistry. Next time I will discuss dental implants and how minimally invasive techniques have revolutionized how we place and restore them.

Veneers/Lumineers

Is there something about your smile that you are unhappy about?  Maybe you have a tooth that is turned the wrong way, or is either too long or too short.  Maybe you have a gap between your teeth that you always wanted to close. Maybe you just want to have the “perfect” smile. Any of these, and more, can be quickly and easily corrected, giving you the dazzling smile you've always wanted.  Whether its veneers, implants, crowns (caps), we can give you a new smile, often in as little as one day.  We include free bleaching on every case, so even before we start we make sure your teeth are as white and beautiful as possible.

Dental veneers are now easier than ever.  It used to be that we had to grind off the front surface of your teeth to make room for veneers.  Not only was that way uncomfortable, but it meant that for the rest of your life you had to have something covering all your front teeth. But modern technology has eliminated all this, and we can now do veneers that require no grinding.  Not only does this make the whole process easier and quicker, but we don't have to destroy tooth structure to give you a dazzling smile, and you are left with your entire tooth intact.
